Leaf Spring
West Coast 4WD leaf springs have been designed to increase the vehicles load capacity, on road handling and ride height, by up to 60mm above standard of ride height. West Coast 4WD leaf springs have been shot peened, scragged and load tested, to achieve the permanent ride height and eliminates sagging.
Coil Spring
West Coast 4WD coil springs have also been designed to increase the vehicles load capacity, on road handling and ride height again up to 60mm above standard of ride height. Generally longer travel shocks need to be fitted with the higher coils to allow for extra travel.
Torsion Bar
West Coast torsion bars are designed to increase the vehicles load capacity and can be adjusted for increased clearance also. All bars are pre-set through 180 degrees and have forged and hobbed spine heads.
Steering Dampers
West Coast steering dampers are designed with a larger (35mm) bore than standard dampers to deal with harsh off road conditions and better damping forces for greater steering control.
Shock Absorbers
West Coast shocks come in either gas charged (mainly for leaf suspension) and hydraulic (mainly for coil suspension) and have been designed for extra long travel and durability to suit all on/off road conditions. Shocks are twin tube design for better cooling, multi stage sintered piston valve and hardened chrome piston shaft, double welded pins and eyes with double lip urethane seals.
Greasable Shackles and Pins
West Coast pins and shackles are machined with a grease train for use with polyurethane or ethane bushes. They can also be used with standard rubber bushes, in which application grease should not be applied.
Urethane Bushes
All West Coast bushes are made from high density poly-urethane providing excellent wear characteristics and durability. The bushes can also be applied with urethane grease for ease of shackle/pin movement and seize resistance.
U/Bolts
West Coast U/Bolts are rolled thread, zinc plated and fitted with deep nuts. New U/Bolts should be fitted when changing spring assembles.
